Chilean-American actor, writer and producer Nick Puga was raised in Miami, Florida, where he began his career appearing in commercials while studying at Florida International University. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, Nick landed his first major break when, following a nationwide search, he was cast opposite Christina Aguilera in a bilingual Coca-Cola campaign. He later turned heads with his dramatic portrayal of Tommy in the award-winning short film Eating, which premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
Nick’s film credits include Steven Spielberg’s The Terminal, Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Thirteen, and the feature film After the Wedding, in which he starred as Diego Diaz. His television appearances include NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, House, Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, and Veronica Mars.
Throughout his career, Nick has moved comfortably between drama, comedy, voiceover, writing and producing. His comedic music video PPL B TXT’N 2MUCH caught the attention of MTV executives and earned multiple awards on the short-film festival circuit. He lent his voice to Adult Swim’s animated series Minoriteam and worked as a producer on several episodes of MTV’s Emmy Award-winning documentary series True Life.
Nick has also built an extensive commercial career, starring in more than 100 national television campaigns, including multiple Super Bowl commercials and spots alongside Carl Weathers, John Cena, Matthew Broderick, Dennis Haysbert, T-Pain, Jon Lovitz and Bear Grylls. He starred in General Electric’s theatrical and television campaign Time Upon a Once, directed by Andreas Nilsson, who received the 2015 DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials that same year.
More recently, Nick has continued working across film, television and voiceover while developing projects of his own. He stars as Carth Onasi in the fan-film adaptation of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, bringing the iconic character to live action for a project that has reached hundreds of thousands of viewers worldwide. He continues to pursue character-driven film and television roles while writing, producing and developing original work.
